On Resurrection morning in 1988 a group of 49 believers met in the home of George and Oneita Fowler. This was the beginning of Coastal Worship Center. The following September they purchased a building on the corner of Forestbrook and Highway 544 near the now historic swing bridge. The first service was held on September 7, 1988.

The Late Rev. E.W. Ingram was the founding pastor and continued to serve as Senior Pastor for 9 years. Rev. Wayne Gilbert came to us in January 2002 and remains the Senior Pastor.

We continue to stand as a lighthouse on the corner of Old Highway 544 and Forestbrook Road. Many people have come through Coastal Worship Center and gone on to great ministries, reaching out to people all across the world. We are grateful to be a small part in God’s great plan.

Many have sacrificed in order to have Coastal Worship Center and some continue to do so. It is our sincere longing that Jesus will soon come, but until He does, let us remain faithful to His calling on our lives to “be not weary in well doing for in due season (we) shall reap if we faint not.”

If you are visiting the beach, we welcome you into our services and know that you will be blessed.
